Privacy

Private first.

Ant Trail remembers a character's history. The website should never make that history public by accident.

Accounts

Account email and authentication data are private. Public community activity uses your chosen trail handle instead. Ant Trail does not ask for your Battle.net password.

Campfire

Campfire posts and replies are public. Posting requires a verified account, but reading does not. Abuse reports are private to the account that submitted them and future moderators. Do not post passwords, authentication tokens, full SavedVariables, or unrelated player data.

Trail data

Trail Upload is not live yet. The intended model is private import → validation → private preview → explicit publish. Raw Trail data and public Trail pages are separate things.

Third parties & control

Netlify delivers the site. Account services are being prepared around Supabase with bot protection before registration is opened. Ant Trail does not run advertising or behavioral analytics here. Account deletion, Trail deletion, and retention controls must exist before persistent Trail storage launches.

Future Trail imports

Raw saves are not meant to become permanent storage.

When Trail Upload is enabled, the plan is to validate a player-selected Ant Trail character save, extract the supported profile data, and discard the raw upload by default. Invalid files are rejected before a profile is created.
